childhood hunger by teaching families how to make healthy and budget-wise
food choices. With six different courses that target adults, teens
and children, Cooking Matters takes a cooking-centered approach
to nutrition education. It brings children and adults in touch with
food and health in a long-lasting manner.

Chefs and nutritionists
volunteer to teach classes that feature:
- Hands-on meal preparation
- Basic nutrition
- Food safety
- Menu planning
- Food budgeting
- Healthy snacking
