Just Peachy Salsa is the brainchild of The Food Bank of South Jersey. Looking for ways to raise revenue to buy more food to feed hungry people in South Jersey, The Food Bank began to work with New Jersey farmers to develop ways to bring shelf stable products to supermarkets.

By salvaging peach seconds – those peaches that were not large enough to qualify for the retail market, The Food Bank was able to
- Work with farmers to save products that were healthy & Jersey fresh
- Reduce food waste in local landfills
- Save farmers the cost of waste removal and dumping fees
- Develop a revenue source to feed hungry people
With the help and partnership of both farmers and corporate partners, The Food Bank of South Jersey created Just Peachy Salsa – made with fresh Jersey peaches.
